Im sure this is a long shot, but does anyone have a impeller laying around that they are not using? Im looking to have one made in metal and need one to replicate.

I posted a link to this request in the River Jet thread on RCG in the hope that someone squirreled away a spare before they all disappeared.
This is awesome news.
Just curious, how much will a metal impeller cost???
Either way it will be well worth it. Count me in.:thumbup1:
We are waiting on Proboat to figure out whats going on. its a large investment, so until they are being made again, we have to wait.
Steve, out of simple business curiosity, what kind of quantity do you have to commit to upfront to make the price point and investment feasible?
Wow, that's a good price. Much better than I thought since a replacement impeller for the Streamline RC Thrasher XT retails for about $79.00. I thought these would be about the same.
Compared to $16.99 for a stock plastic impeller, this is a heck of a deal. Put my name on one if you go ahead with these.:thumbup1:
How much for smaller run, there's more than a few with little more than a pretty paper weight right now now.
Thats just an idea/estimate on cost, since I was asked. Its not set in stone. I have yet to get a mold cost and factor in how many boats will be made and spread the cost over that amount. But it wont be $79.00. Thats nuts.
Ok, thanks steve. Well ill keep my fingers crossed. But not gonna hold my breath for anytime soon then. Looks like i picked the wrong boat as a first RC. Ending up with 600$ in paperweights.
I guess I'm late to the party. I've read about a few issues with the motor magnets breaking loose, but not much else. I brought my River Jet home about a month ago, but haven't had a chance to run it yet. At this point, I'm wondering if it's worth trying to return the boat.
Its a blast to run in rivers, jumping waves. It does have a few issues that need to be sorted out. The pump unit is a pain to grease, should mod a grease port for ease of maintence. I had the choice and kept mine its worth the work IMO.
Any word on when these might be available???
We are waiting on a release of the boat.
Any update on this??
We are waiting on a release of the boat. As far as I know, its still not released. But I may have missed it?
It was released.. I have one.. but recalled they are fixing issues now
Unfortunately until they make more, it doesn't make sense to invest in that many.
Saw a facebook post from Proboat, looks like the updated boats are in stock.

Yep. The new release are out there and I got mine. Beat on it a few weekends in a row and it's doing fine. I added a grease port for trouble free maintenance and added a Modified R/C grate to the intake. The boat is a lot of fun, but does need the nozzle necked down for more predictable control. Just my 2C
I have a 3D printed nozzle on my boat and it definitely helps make the steering more precise. Here is where I got the file

You can save this file to your PC and upload it to Shapeways if you don't have or know anyone with a 3D printer and they will produce this for you in your choice of material. I chose the strong and flexible plastic. Mine was only about 8 bucks. New users can sign up for an account and get free shipping on their first order.
Steve, any update on this? Would love a metal impeller.
Did these impellers get made?
