Considering a EKOS C1

I got into rc boating recently when I picked up a brand new Traxxas Villain EX a few weeks ago. Id like to get something faster and found a deal of a EKOS for $300 with 2 3s lipos and a charger. It's the first version with water cooling. I had planned on going to look at it tomorrow.

Not really sure if the price is right and if this is the right boat for me. I've done some reading and think I still need to do some more but wanted to get some opinions. I don't plan on upgrading it or at least not yet. I also only have 2s lipos for my rc cars (the boat comes with 2 3s lipos), can I run it with the 2s lipos? If so will it be too slow, remember im coming from a Villain . I have a local pond I've been running at but it's not very large 200-300 feet wide and 400-500 feet long, am I going to have to find something larger.

Anything I should look out for if I decide to go check out the boat?
