I know its an old hydro and simular to the Dumas Unlimited Hydro. shovel nose hydro.
This one has been converted to FE....has been carbon fibre reinforced... 3/16 drive......set up for brushless....but never finished.....
do you have any pics ?
No pics at this time...out of town..... Not sure how to post from my LG smart phone also.....
Well...it is a pretty cool old girl....not planning on racing it...but would be nice to make it brushless.... and see how she does....
I am sure you will enjoy running this old timer hydro , they look great on the water too.
rol243, Thank you sir ! I'm sure i will... It's an interesting piece of hydro history.
She's a boat that I really like too. I intend to build an 1/8 scale model of it too one day.
I'm interested in seeing how yours turns out.
Well...it's missin the top cover...which i believewas vacuum formed plastic....so i will have to fabricate on from wood....
On the following link, there are some plans for the Miss Thriftaway Too, at the bottom of the page. They might help you get the shape & proportions right for the cowling. Also some construction notes from the original Dumas kit.
There's also a few other boat plans on the page that might be of interest to you down the track a bit.
