I bought a little DF65 about a year and a half ago. I added a Thunder Tiger Victoria just this past month, first sail was today.

It's a nice distraction to have.
I should get my old 'Sea Queen' out more often.
The Victoria is a nice looking boat.
I love the classic looks of the old 12 meter yachts. The Victoria is definitely eye candy, looks just as pretty on the stand in the dining room as on the pond sailing. a few more pictures.

Looks like a party boat to me.
Fun in the sun, my crack sailing crew.
One day I have got to get a sailboat, used to live on one. Really be a calm day at the lake with one.
Really nice Danny
I spent three summers as a teen sailing as a beck hand all over Mount Hope an Narragansett bays, S.E. Ma. / R.I. on a friends family yacht. My R/C sail boats = youthful memories = calm, relaxing, with the right amount of fun thrown in.
Glad I'm not the only one who enjoys sailing. I've got a DF65 that's great fun and slowly building a DF95.
Show your sail boats. I set up my DF65 small, both for display but mostly for transportation purpose, I've got the short keel and the"B" sails, still sails great love thet boat.
I have to admit I love the scale looks of the Victoria, if I was to ever get a third sail boat it would be more for scale looks over a racing design.
Who else here has a sailing yacht? Show me the boats! even if they have an inch of dust on um.
DF65 here too. Painted hull, dragonskins deck, and felt tip sails.Attachment 168462

Very nice, sharp little yacht.
come on, who else has a sail boat distraction? My sail boat distraction means you too. more pictures please, action shots get bonus points?
So when I purchased my Victoria sail boal kit I was warned that the original sails were not very good. They were right, first gen, blue and yellow were awful, second generation two tone blue slashes Victoria sail were much improved.

Here is the real deal my Victoria is modeled after, the old 12 meter class racing yachts. On display jest 10 minutes from the house.

And yet another sail boat distraction. I jest could not help myself, had to do it. I picked up this little old Aristo-Craft 1:38 scale 12 meter America's cup racer kit on flee-bay ( Stars & Stripes), 100 $$, probably didn't even cost that much back in the late 80's early 90's when it was produced. It so cute(small) lol checks in at about 508 mm's / 20 inches, looks like half the size of my Victoria. Its kind of a cheaply made yacht, some where between toy an hobby grade? New improved rudder, doctored up the mast, sails an rigging as needed. I 'm also using the 75 HMz Tx an Rx that came with it. The flag pole is now the antenna. The sailing gods smiled upon me yesterday an blessed me with the perfect winds for a freshly finished tiny sailing yachts maiden voyage.

There's just something special & calming to be under sail......................
I also enjoy the peaceful tranquility of it all but, I also enjoy the challenge, satisfaction of getting it all right. Every sail is different the wind, waves, current always changing. Climate change! sailing out on the Mount Hope an Narragansett bay it changes by the hour lol.
