are you referring to the Capacitors Chris ? the black things with silver ends.
Last picture is the radio board.

Chris, the buss bars are the things that get hot.
Ray has it correct. Bus bars are what conduct heat away from the nearby FET's.
Be careful about what you attach to the bus bars to cool the ESC as they are "hot" electrically speaking. So don't put a single aluminum plate joining both sides together as it will dead short the positive and negative.
Chris,
This thread is right on time. I am at the point that I am getting ready to put the aluminum heat sink back together after I coat the ESC boards with DP270 epoxy coating. I will keep the coating away from the bus bars and give them a coat of Artic Alumina epoxy to aid in conducting heat away but insolating the bus bar electrically. I am also keeping the insulating material that the manufacturer put on the one side of the bus bar.
Thanks for the info
Bruce
Chris,
I probably could but I have a receiver to also coat and the Artic Alumina is very expensive and I use it sparingly.
Chris aluminum with anodization is insulative. If it was a non-anodized aluminum case it would short the positive and negative
