Got my hull today....stay tuned:w00t:
It going to be a basic clone of this...
https://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...eye-quot-Hydro
But with P-Power (Got a few different motors to try out)
And I promise to come up with something more original that a black and white checker theme this time:spy:
Motors I currently have are:
http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...u-1521&cat=117 in a 1.5D winding.
http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...o-4074&cat=148 in the 200KV rating

By the time I get through messing around with those, winter should be here.
Lets try one on Saturday at Boxwood....
I want one but I just can't figure out how to get a Leopard 5698 on 10s 2p in it! LOL But seriously how do you think a Neu 1515 2200kv on 6s would work in it?
6S on 2200Kv????? Holy overpowered Batman....48000 Rpm!!!:scared::flashfire::scared:
ya I agree that new 1515 2200 is a 4s motor....prob get some magic smoke sooner or later
Ah, I am glad you have got your second Popeye, John!
Be nice...or yours got "lost" in shipment!
Hey... where are the pictures... :)
Actually closer to 40,000 under load. I ran a Castle 1515/1Y in my 6S cat to 89 mph through the traps (not GPS) many times without letting out any smoke - but then it was two 5 seconds passes then back to the beach. Totally a SAW setup, but it works well as a P Sport Hydro motor on 4S.Quote:

.
Yes, even 7S is really too much. Six S is plenty, if you can't go fast enough with that you need more motor, not more cells. I topped out at 89 mph no mater what I did in my 32" SAW cat, I needed more (longer) motor (1521 or 1527) to go faster. I was only a few mph slower running 4S and a 1521 in the same boat at the same event.
.
And back on topic we go.......
Popeyes..........

Woww, it appears the yellow and blue looks the best!!!
What a nice paint job!!!
As I'll be using more powerful motors on this boat, I asked TFL to add some carbon tubes along each side of the motor mounts for a bit more strength..there is absolutely nothing wrong with the stock motor mount, but I prefer things to be reasonably bullet proof.
Again, TFL was nice enough to agree to do this for me.
There is unexpected amount of expanding foam installed so I am sure it will....
Not a stupid question....looks that way in the pics...but they are the same size.
No way, the white one is the longest...
Got my Leopard 2000Kv motor and Seaking 18 installed: Had to modify the motor mount holes a bit to make everything fit.
Finished it off in a totally new color scheme.....no more black and white checkers this time....
