My ESC has arrived from OSE (many thanks Steven) and I have a question regarding the three wire lead to the receiver. Now the ESC has no UBEC but has an optic coupler. The ESC lead has the negative, positive and signal wires to the receiver. On a normal ESC with no UBEC the positive wire is removed as the UBEC powers the receiver. However, just to confirm, since the ESC has an optic coupler then the positive wire is left intact to the receiver.
