Is This Cavitation?

Saturday was the first time I ran the MiniMono at my club pond. This is my first fast electric boat. It appears to take 20-30 feet to reach top speed, when it does, it runs great. Is this normal for the boat or is there something I can do? I am using a Electrifly 11.1V 1600mAh lipo mounted vertically as the battery is slightly to long to install horizontally. Thanks from a novice fast electric boater.

It is normal. Something like a x432 will reduce it.
