I have decided to go a different direction on the ESC's
I have ordered 2 - XLX2's, 2- Coolers, 2 - XLX2 Mounting Covers, and the Zinc Oxide Thermal Putty.
I should have every thing by AUG. first. In the water very soon afterwards.
Larry
Two new XLX2's ready to go.
Larry
I am getting there. Should have first water test this week.
Looking for over 70 MPH.
Larry
Where and when are you going?
NOT sure yet. I will let you know.
Larry
What type water nipples did you use on the ESC? I'm still on stock plastic, but interested in changing.
I used the 6MM ones from OSE.
You have to drill the hole out to 5mm, tap it out with a 6mm tap.

First run today.
Still needs some work on setup. Running wet in the front.
I had the struts set at 3 degrees down. It was pushing the nose down to much.
I will adjust them to 2 degrees down.
The little GPS came back a 73MPH today, Not bad for a first run.
Larry
Here is a screen shot from the readout of the Left hand motor.
Two motors = 24.3HP
One motor = 8,812 W
Two motors =17,624 W
17,624 Divided by 725 = 24.3 HP
I will try to get one of the other guys to take a video
for me tomorrow.

Here are some Video's from our club run today.
The video on the top right is my 8S Cat.
4 laps untill the reverse rotation coupler came lose, lost a shaft and a prop.
I have got a fix for that problem. 79 MPH on the little GPS.
Still needs some adjustment's.
The video on the lower right is my "Q" Cat, 6S.
I will get some data logs up latter.

I forgot to post this one.
We had a race last weekend, Gremlins all weekend. Open water on Thursday. Twisted the left hand flex shaft.
I brought the boat home and did the repair on Thursday evening.
First race - on Friday I got a DNF (25 points) I had forgot to connect the output water line from the left motor.
The boat filled with water, It shut down due to a wet receiver.
I changed out the receiver, but found out the I had also had a dead servo also.
Disconnected the servo at the rudder and also unplugged it from the radio.
Second Race - Steering was very poor, had to let off of the throttle to let it turn, then it would DART.
Canceled out of the rest of the races for this class.
This is what happens when you rush .
Even after three years of getting this boat ready,
I whent to a race with only two test runs on it.
It will be all set for the next race in two weeks.
More later
