Care to share any details? Like the metal used, who designed them (look a lot like Octuras, but then so many do), availability?
.
Looks like Alex’s work from the Ukraine

CoCr in Aussie has been making cobalt props for several years, mostly gas ones. I saw an ad on FB today that had 42 x 1.5 props like this. Pricey though, $160 for a L&R set.
Saw a CoCr prop throw a blade a couple of weeks ago too!
A clone of the abc 1715 props....Man that Cobalt material must be the same price as gold.....

California.
I'd like to see them on one of my balancers
The New Cobalt Chrome Swoop 911 props are NOT copies they are a New design that ABC propellers did for us. Just to set things straight. Have a good day.
That's good to know! They could have fooled my eyes....The rake appears to be 17° but from the specs the diameter is 1.18mm smaller than the 17xx series Maybe due to the fact that Jim is doing these new type of props with other materials now that's why traditional 1715's are so scarce and hard to find. With them being so scarce that could also be why some are price gouging on them as well. Good luck with your new product!
Are they cast? They look a lot less uniform than the props in the first post, which I assume to be CNC
.
He removed the $200.00 ABC 1715 set from his web site after my post #6

Those props I posted a picture of are cast. The first pic in the first post appear to be CNC.
They are made by Alex Prop alias Doctor Props

Then yes, I have seen many of those props, doctor props is not new, but he is constantly releasing new props into his ranges. Like many of the CNC prop makers he has 2 main ranges, 1 is a rip off of the Octura X series (I have no experience of these). The other is a low blade area range for Naviga style endurance racing. These are pretty popular here as we race Naviga, and while I don't run them myself (too much invested in a large box of Octuras and ABCs, if I could swap those 47 BS and mostly thinned and detounged cast props for a dozen of Alex's factory BSP Naviga props, I would in a heartbeat), they have proven to be the most efficient metal props for our racing.
All the doctorprops I have seen are his factory BSP and he does a great job of it, because of the much harder material they come thinner and sharper than I can make an Octura without it rolling the edges in use. He does sell them with what looks like a sand blasted finish which I assume is to round off the CNC steps and make the finishing easier, but with the quality of finishing work he does I dont know anyone that has bought unfinished. There are no signs of CNC step marks, and while I am not one for prop pollishing they are prettiliy mirror polished. He says they are dynamically ballanced and while I dont have the facility to check that, they do ballance well on my modded magnetic ballancer.
Not everything is roses though, often there are long turnaround times to get ordered props. I am also not overly happy with all his buisness practicces, he used to advertise his Naviga props as 1.4 pitch, but recently has brought out a new line of higher pitch 1.4 pitch props and marked the old ones as the 1.15/1.2/1.25 that they actually always were, one of my friends bought a replacement 1.4 and his runtime died, he asked Alex and was told he advertised them as 1.4 as he thought nobody would buy 1.2s.
