DX3S - compatible receivers?

Hi all,
I have a near unused DX3S transmitter and receiver, I’ve fitted it to my now finished boat and it all works, but I’ve been told I must have marine spec receiver or I risk a runaway.
Are there any receivers that are comparable? I’d rather not change the whole setup.
The transmitter says it’s DSM/DSM2

I have the DX3S myself. The best RX fir boats is the MR3000 but I think it is discontinued but you can still find them. It's tiny and water proof.
