Drilling Cooling Pickup in Rudder
Hello,
I have an older ABS v-hull that I use in a small creek/river. It is a lot of fun as the tight creek almost makes it like racing a jet boat up the river. The design of the hull keeps it very shallow, however I would like to shorten the rudder. It is using a typical TFL style rudder with the breakaway screw, and single pickup as pictured here:

Basically, I am looking for any advise on how to drill a new pickup hole higher up, so that I can shorten the rudder, as it is much longer than needed.
Thanks!
