POWER SUPPLY 47 AMP by HP

My powerlab8 crapped out on me...so I ordered a powerlab6 this time...made me realize I should have backup for PS as well.

I am charging 5S (1 at a time) at 20A(4C)...my batteries will allow me to input 40A (8C)(I have been a little afraid to do that so far)

Can you recommend a PS that will pump either the PL6 or PL8(once repaired).

Hey Everyone!

I ordered a new PS and it arrived today....

The first thing I noticed was the Handwriting on the package itself...

That is the handwriting of a person meticulous in everything he does...it gave me great confidence as I opened the package.

The PS itself is a work of beauty...if a PS could be beautiful.


LiPo Power used some very nice connectors and wire, the tape job looked good, and the 2-into-1 power supply cord is top of the line.

I never really know where I will end up when heading out on a Surf Trip....so I needed a mobile charging station...so I mounted everything inside a wheeled Suitcase.




I just wheel in to Starbucks, Fed Ex Office, this PS supply is so quiet I can even use it in a library, and recharge for another session in the Surf.

All in All, I am very happy with this new PS. I feel it is well worth the money spent. So, if you are on the fence on whether to buy one or not....do not hesitate...he will have you powered up in no time at all.

I received the PSU a couple of days ago but did not open the package up until last night. The unit got banged up during shipping on the corner closer to the cable inlet and I did not see a switch like you had told me it would have (am I looking in the right place?). The impact during shipping affected the outlet where the power cable connects so inserting the cable is tighter than it should be. Do you think the impact could have affected the operation of the PSU? I will post pictures later tonight when I get home.

It is possible that I have shipped the unit without the on off switch instead of the one with it, my apologies... I will have solution for you for sure.
Regarding the unit that was damaged during delivery, please sent me pictures to the email I have sent you via PM so I can see it before you plug it in to the wall and will go from there.
Your package was prepared very well for a long trip. Was the damage of the box visible at the time of pick up from the post office?

Good staff. I just got the new Power Lab 8 ver 2 which is
the same as Fat Boy from HK ( better price same charger )
and it works perfecto
of the 24 volt DPS-1200!!!!!
