Mark what do you think about running more voltage to the screamer?

The schulze says on it up to 14s.... so must be around 60volts....
Xfactor... I spoke with a few "well known" racers that were running these scorpions on 10s1p 8000-10000mah 25c setups.... racing in their 1/7 hydros...... and they said it was a great "light" setup... and they had done so with great results.... I know what you are saying and I am definately more of a driver then a wrencher and my knowledge is totally limited... but everything I have ever read says if I was pulling amps that were high enough to damage the esc I would be KILLING the motor overamping it first..... ? I ran it the first time on 30c 5300mah elite 5s lipos in 10s1p format... when I ran it with the 10s2p is when she Burnt up? just don't get it? Oh well....Comment

What esc's offfers more voltage than 12s? All the hv ones ive opened have hardware that can take 60 volts but can one run an additional 14s on a 12s rated speed control?Seems since theyre underrated you could go a little further . Of course youd void all warranties.I hate to say it but I dont think Jason is going to risk frying his schulze to provide us with 14s answers.Comment

My cable held up fine on a 14s 2230 1y motor set up I ran at the saws. I did use a square drive set up instead of the soldered kind. I broke 4 soldered stubs one day in testing on 12s and some 4 bladed props. The schulze controllers can handle 14s but the castle I wouldn't push past 13s.

My friend uses no solder they weld then turn. For me I stick with hughey cable all that other stuff I dont know nothing about it.Oh yeah the wire drives are great for the smaller stuff. So youve run 13 s on your castle with no problems? Hey yall dont take this info and start running 13 s to casltes them be mad at one of us if it burns up. Common sense tells you that warranty is void if u do it no doubt.Unless you can afford expensive mistakes dont try this at home.Any word on the big scorpion esc?We really have a need for @ least a 70 volt controller. That would drive the amps down to a reasonable place for the same power output.Comment
