    Neu motor request

    Steven,
Will it be possible to carry the Neu 1100 series (380 sizes) motors in the store?
Is anyone else interested in 380 sized Neu motors?

those lil neu's sure look sweet! Not sure if they're worth that much $ though. compare that price to the price of a feigao 380l.

The 380s are really lacking in torque for boats, even the Neus. Anything over about 19" that doesn't run really loose will have problems, IME at least. The little motors don't have the mass for high wattages either, and will overheat far faster than a 540-sized motor will at similar wattages. They are not equivalent, and trying to force the little motor to do a man's job can be discouraging and expensive.

OTOH for lightweight micro boats they would be wonderful. Just don't let the low cost cloud your judgement.....

I had a Micro Drifter Cat with a Neu 1112/1Y (3500kv) and ran it on 2x 3s 1500mah 25C packs in parallel (for 3s/3000mah total) with a CC barracuda 80 esc and x435 prop.. It was one FAST little boat, lots of fun,, you could run on/off throttle for over 5 min. and nothing was over 95 deg.. I really wish I had not sold that one! LOL

I love these 1100 motors for micro boats,, my Micro Drifter would literally jump right out of the water from a stand still.. If I had to guess, I would est. top speed at 35-40mph.. I had to have perfect calm water to make full throttle passes..

                            Here are a few pictures..

Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

The price keeps me from stocking them. I can special order them if anyone needed them.
