Joe,
Very interesting, please keep us informed how the testing goes.
Like Peter said, making one like the current 2215 and keeping the cost reasonable is a challange. There are some things on the drawing board Steven and I are working on.
Thanks

It is a prototype motor for 1/5th scale trucks/buggies like the HPI Baja/Baja 5T. It's a 2025/1Y 900kv. I will definitely let you all know how the cooling works. Tested it with a bucket of water, an aquarium pump, and put a load on it...works great. Can't wait to try it in the boat (Outlaw 7.5 from TT)...nearly everything is together. Waiting for batteries, Steve donated an adapter (8mm to .187...thanks again Steve!!!), and then I'm ready to go. Using Hydra 240HV. Made the motor mount myself. Will be putting vids up of the first run for sure. :)Joe Ford

Peter, your stuff takes a long time because you make it so beautiful! Why not just stop at the lathe step and install the inlet/outlet rather than making the nice longitudinal grooves?Mini Cat Racing USA

EDIT: Here you go. Some more pics. Gives a better idea of the size.Last edited by Joe Ford; 09-11-2009, 06:04 PM.Joe Ford

Can make your own like I did, but I think that's about it. Cost me about $10...Ace Hardware is where I got the stuff for it. Bring the motor with you...they had a bunch of sizes so I went with the one that slid well over the motor, but not too loose. Hopefully Steve is working on nice metal one...going to be a popular motor for the big boats that are being converted now.Joe Ford
