Speedmaster Stinger Strut 3/16"

This Speedmaster strut should be fine for my mono hull.
I want to know which drive shaft and flexshaft at OSE shop fit perfectly this 3/16" strut. Thanks

Hey Alfa, What kind of power are you puting into the mono? What size is the mono? We may need those answers to help you out a bit more.. whether you could go .150, .187..???

Hi Tiqueman, this is for a 39" MHZ Fountain with one Castle 1717 motor

Yes, looks great but out of stock... The Castle have a nice torque, 30000 RPM unload with 5S 2P, depends of the prop.
You mean that the flexshaft can be broken?

Yeah I saw a .187 snap on a Castle last week. It was Bill34207 boat.. DF41. Shoot him a PM if youd like and get his set up details as I do not know them off the top of my head. I can check my LHS if youd like. He usually has those cables in stock. Im not sure what shipping would be to get it to you though.

You have a PM.. My LHS has several in stock...

.187" will be plenty for the 1717. I used .187" flex in a DF 40" mono with a 2215 on 9s and a x455 with no problems.

The Hugey flexshaft is out of stock at OSE shop, I bought a flexshaft from Dave Marles
3/16 x 21.5" , 17 €uros
Advice about those flexshafts?

Finally I bought the 3/16" flexhaft from PMB Prestwich Model boats, quality is good. Speedmaster Stinger Strut, K&S Brass Tubing and Teflon liner come from QSE shop.
Total price isn' t high, cheaper than MHZ first price trimax alone

Flexshaft from Dave Marles and Speedmaster assembly, looks ok to me.
Total lenght is 120mm, the MHZ Fountain hull is 1 meter long

As long as we are on the Speedmaster stinger topic, any ideas as to how to eliminate the vertical play in the adjuster?

Tighten the bottom screw on the adjuster.

funny...there's too much clearance between the hole and the screw; they should have tightened up the tolerances...
