    wtb:hull

very soon i will be building a small fe, since im only 14 and this is money from my graduation (8th grade) so i dont have very much to spend

if anyone has a small hull lying around that they want to sell shoot me a pm or post it on here
it doesnt have to be brand new just something that is still in usable condition (i wouldent mind fixing a few cracks) and if it has some hardware on it thats even better.

    thanks,
    James

    Hi James,
Welcome to the hobby and to the forum, glad to see you doing constructive things with your time. What kind of boat are you thinking? I have a proboat miniV I was saving for some future project that you might like. Look at this guy and see if you might be interested. I could make you a nice little package deal. I have redone the drive line with a flex cable and have done some sealing to the hull. The hull was brand new when I got it from somebody - just a little sun faded is all. I have a motor and also have put in a good micro servo. I have a radio for it and esc/receiver I could add. I will see how much I have to get for it, while you look at the adds for it and see if you like it. If so, I will post you some pictures and tell you how much it will cost. Then you can decide if you are interested. I will make sure it is less than a brand new one, so under $100.

I can post pics, I am just now trying to figure out if the micro servo I put in there will work with the mini V rx/speedo. I have all the electronics for it, and a battery - condition unknown. I will add the motor coupler, which isn't pictured, just remembered. All four props and everything shown is included (except the carpet).

How much of a complete package are you looking for?

I refitted the drive line with 1/8" cable and put in a water tight rudder linkage boot.

I will ship this package deal to you for $65 (given you are w/in US).

thanks for the pics!!! i like it!!

im pretty sure that i dont need the esc/reciever thing because i have a spare of both lying around from my rc18t but i just have to make sure that they are both still in working condition

so how much would it be without the remote and reciever/esc?

          thanks so much!

I was setting this up for myself, but it has been on the shelf for too long, and I can't resist contributing to a good cause... This is a pretty good deal, given the motor is new in package, the drive line is brand new never run and installed by me. the servo is brand new and one of the good high torque guys. AAAANNd you get four props to play with. The blue one needs a shim but it sounds like you will manage fine. The inside at the motor mount is a little cracked from when I installed the drive line, but very workable. you might need another screw for the motor mount, ----- want you to have no bad surprises!!! Other than the faded top, the hull is brand new shiny with no scratches nor cracks.

I can ship this to you tomorrow morning for $50, paypal is [email protected].

                Another option

I also have a bby micro scat cat that I put together if you are interested.

This one would be a little more of a "build". The hull is joined and painted and was filled in the front with GreatStuff for rigidity and floatation. I put on some graphics and have prepped the windscreen for black. I have installed the stuffing tube with JB weld and made a motor mount and its set bolts in the tunnel. I made the strut bracket and boom as well as the rudder. I have also installed a home-made servo mount and bent a linkage rod that lines up just right when a standard servo is used.

Would need a couple dubro connectors. This also needs a strut. I have installed a water pick up for water cooling and also its outflow attachment. I can include the MiniV motor so all you need is servo, strut, radio, esc and battery (I can throw in the on in the other post if you want). I will also include several props to work with.

This deal would cost you $35 shipped. You can have either or both, I just want you to have something you really like.

                Let me know,
                Jesse

i might take the micro scat cat but i have 3 questions

what exactly does the 35 shipped include?

will i need to run saddle packs on it?

can you point me in the direction of a strut for it?

                  thanks soo much!!!!!!

35 shipped includes: hull, motor mount, rudder, rudder linkage, strut bracket and boom, cable drive, bullet and drive dog, 2-3 props and the new MiniV motor. I also listed what you will still need in the earlier post.

Looks like a strut may run you $25 new http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=sol-strut

you may start a new thread here asking for one, you may get lucky and find one for $10-15. I can look around, but doubt I have an extra one. You could also make one out of brass with a soldering iron.

If you go with the strut Jesse mentioned above, you can use the .125 flex cable or the .150 flex cable for some more insurance.

Well that depends on what flex cable you go with. It also depends on the size of the shaft that Jesse is giving you along with the Hull. Once you know that info, you can choose the coupler.

the flex cable is .125, the motor shaft is .092 ish. I have a coupler for a .125" motor shaft I will include for when you step up to a bigger motor or go brushless. If you are creative, you can try to ship the motor shaft up to .125" and use this coupler, should work ok given the moderate power coming from this little motor.

I will be going to work @ 9am MST after which I won't be able to ship until tomorrow. Let me know which you would like.
