    MMP Watersnake Twin

    Hello everyone,

I am selling my MMP watersnake. I build her up as a twin. The hull and deck are strengthened with multiple layers of glass and carbon fibre and epoxy.

    Size:
    Length: 1400mm
    Width: 325mm

    Setup:
    Motors: 2x TP5850 820kv
    ESC's: 2x Flier 400A 16s esc with extra caps
Servo: Hitec 9380TB (retail price around 180$)

    hardware:
    2x MTC struts
    2x MBP coupler 8mm to 1/4' flex
Rudder from modellbaupirat with double cooling intake
    Turnfins + Trimtabs
    Hatchbolts build in.

I ran this setup on 10s (5000mAh 10s per motor) with octura x457 props. Speeds around 60-65mph with runtimes of around 8-9 minutes. The size of the boat makes here suited for the more open/rougher water. Stable boat at speed. Motor and esc's were always below 95 Fahrenheit even when pushed in mid summer so if you like more speed, it is just a matter of putting in more cells or other props. I always had enough enjoyment with the 10 cell setup and the long runtime.

Price = 1700 $ shipped in a wooden box so nothing gets damaged during transport.
If you would have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time :)
    Happy holidays!

Thinking of adding a big mono to fleet.
        Few "?":
        Are you original builder/ owner?
        any build pics?
        Pics of hull underside?
        Any Rx?
ESCs have BEC or run sep battery to run servo/Rx, if sep, would 2s lipo suffice?
        Bullet size for Lipos?
        Will this handle 12s?
        X457 Props, who sharp/ balance?
        Any Extra Props.
        How many runs?
Any known cracks, nicks, spider cracks, and or damage?
        Any Videos?

        Thanks in advance.

          Hi,

I am the original builder. I started a build thread back in the day but I never finished it: https://forums.offshoreelectrics.com...ke-build/page2
I changed my mind on the setup a couple of times. The scorpion 4035's setup worked great but I wanted to use them in a mystic 138 and they ran a little hot in my opinion although I see others use them with great succes at these temperatures (80-90°C).
Any remaining build pics I have are in the build thread. It is not much sorry for that...

I am currently on vacation for another day but I will post a picture of the underside soon.

          Rx is not included.
You have to use a separate battery for your servo/RX. 2s worked fine.

Bullet size is 5.5mm for the lipo's.

X457 are currently not included but we can always talk about it. I sharp and balance all props myself.
The props in the pics are 52mm Z serie props from H&M. We can talk about those too.

I think I made about 8-10 runs. It is not much but I have a lot of other boats too which is the reason why I can't hold on to this one.

No damage what so ever. Shipping will be done in a wooden box so the hull will not get damaged during transport.

I don't have videos but there are some running pictures in the build thread.

I hope this answers your questions :) Feel free to ask some more if you still have any!

Hey, Roy. Was only wondering what your thoughts were on selling without the ESC's (specifically, how much for the ESC's each, or the pair, and how much for the mono, sans ESC's).

              Thanks,
              Michael P.

                Hello Michael,

I am open for offers but how about 1450 $? It ran completely fine with the Flier esc's , never had problems and they were stone cold even in mid summer.

                Kind regards,
                Roy

The ESC's were actually what I was interested in, also. If it helps sell the hull more quickly, I would take the ESC's, if someone else wants the boat.

Not looking to sell the esc's separately without selling the hull. I'm open for offers so if someone is interested, I think we will be able to work something out.

I'll take both ESC's if you find a buyer for the boat. Tomorrow, next week, next month...doesn't matter.

                        Thanks,
                        Michael P.

I'm still in on the ESC's if anyone wants this hull for a bit less.
