P-Ltd Sport Hydro Hull and Hardware

This was my graphics test bed for this hull. It has been in the water exactly twice. It is not paint perfect, but very close. If you run it with a 2030 Aquacraft motor and Speedo it will kick the crap out of a UL-1. It does not sponson dance or act unruly in any way. This hull allows you to put 2s packs in the sponsons (2x2S in series for 4S) so that the boat balances correctly. Transom and turn fin transom reinforced with G10 fiberglass plate.

This is a 26" long fiberglass hull with no visible seams. Motor mount, strut, rudder, 150 oz servo, flex cable, motor coupler for 5mm shaft motor, UL-1 turn fin and Prather S215 Stainless Steel prop.

Put your motor and speedo in it and have a blast.

Price $295 shipped to the lower 48 only.

I can build this up as a ready to run for additional cost.

Standard hatch tape works great. The best way to tape this type of hull is to put 1 inch pieces of tape in both front corners before doing the outside seam.

            Ray,
Potentially interested but would like to know these two aspects of this beautiful hydro you built
How easy/difficult is it to secure the batteries, do they have to be nudged to the spot and velcro-ed down? Would it be too much to ask for a side shot of the motor so I can see where the batteries go?
The black interior, is it paint or CF layer? If not CF, was there another layer up with FG?
            Thanks!
One last thing, where did you place your ESC?

              Tim,

The batteries go in the sponsons. They are held place by foam on top of the batteries once they fall into the sponson caviity. The speedo is placed in the nose of the boat. The black is just tinted epoxy. The epoxy making a surface that almost anything can be stuck/glued.

Thank you very much for your reply. So I take it that there was a coat of epoxy with black tint. How rigid is the hull without a lay up?
I ask you for your forgiveness for asking such question, only I wanted to know so i don't need to reinforce in the future.
                Thank you!

The hull structure is fine. I did the black tint epoxy. My only regret is I wish I had reinforced the servo floor area. I am doing so as we speak, a simple lateral spar will do the trick. The motor mount itself reinforces the motor area.

I would be pleased to build you one of these boats with a full carbon fiber inlay. It would however, be considerably more expensive.

                    Hi Ray, Thanks!

Would you consider $280 shipped to Arcadia CA 91006?

Boat arrived safe and sound, just as good looking as in the pictures!
I look forward to setting it up when I have time.
                          Thanks much!
