I had the same problem. If you get the phone number off the shipping label(the copy the seller has) and call there and talk to a representative they will open a case and assign it a claim number. I had a $6,200 cashiers check lost on a next day air check by the USPS. They will act swiftly and call you back. Hope that helpsComment

Well the boat showed up today 20 days after I payed for it and it is damaged. Hatch is broken but at this point I will just eat it, heck I am suprised it even showed up.
Seller did the worst packing job I have ever seen, lucky it is in one piece.Comment

I have bought about 9 or 10 no damage, and sent a couple myself, packing is so important, the boat cant move in the box and the box needs to be larger than the boat. Maybe I have been lucky, but I think the members I have bought from, have shipped a few boats . Was it insured?Comment

That really stinks... I'd ask for a replacement if it was from poor packaging and no insurance... Did he tell you he wasn't insuring it?
Funny story about 2 years ago I sold a eflite taylorcraft that was pristine and had a lot of nice upgrades... Was a scale project... Well I had to ship a already built plane to Florida... So I packaged it up... Ended up spending $50 on packing supplies and double boxed it, wrapped every part in its own bubble wrap... I went out of my way to make sure it made the trip safe.... I double boxed it... Well here's the funny part... Well I put the box in the back of my truck figuring is bring it right to the post office... But I got deterred and had to make a quick run to the office... I forgot for a minute that I had the plane in the box and hot the interstate... Well you know the rest lol... I hit 65mph and the box came out of the bed and I remember looking back in the mirror and seeing the box go 40 feet high then landing and tumbling end over end... Well I figured for sure thats it... It's totaled and I'll have to let the buyer know... Well I got back toy workshop and though the box wasnt all that bad I still thought for sure it was a mess.... Well to my surprise I inboxes the plane and there wasn't so much as a scratch.. Not even a wrinkle in the monocote. I had lined the inside box with bedding foam and it did its job... Long story short I knew after that day that double boxing had its benefits too!Comment

So now the question is, are you going to make it right being it wasn't insured, and it has damage... Or are you going to stick it to the buyer???How do you LAKE it?Comment
