Not trying to interrupt, but how would a 9L in a hull like this run? Curiousity killed the cat and possibly my pocketbook.
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

It would FLY!! I used a 10L and 2/ 7.4V lipos... It ran very well... I would say easy 40-45mph with x435 or x632

          I have a video of it on a 7S with 1/ 7.4V lipo....

By 2/7.4V lipos, I assume thats 2 packs in a series, 14.8V, right?

Man I might start my own fleet within a weeks time.

                      Hi txboatpilot (rogerr751),
I was the winner of your recent Ebay sale for your Vortex, l purchased this boat as l am looking to have a very fast boat (50-55mph) compared with other boats (Super Vee, Mini Mogli and BJ26).

You ebay repsonce to me was that you had this craft reaching 52.4mph. My question is simple, for me to obtain this speed, what type of motor would l require? I take it that the two Lipo's you used were connected in Series? What prop should l go for to achieve the speed that l am after?

I am currently have two PolyRC 30c 4500mAh (2S1P) 7.4v that l plan to use plus a 120amp ETTI ESC. I will throw in a Spektrum reciever.

Is the turn fin that you supplied strong enough or do l need to purchase another one, if so, which type would be suitable?

                      Thanks in advance.
BTW: When do you expect l will be able to take delivery of this? Can you please forward across a tracking number via eBay.

I know that! but l wanted to get some opinons as in one of the messages it indicates 40-45mph and in eBay message to me he indicates 52.4 plus there is mention of a motor 10L and 7s - hence the reason why l have asked these questions. Basically l was looking for some advice for a good setup that will give a higher speeds around 50-55mph to enable me to purchase the right equipment from the start. :)
