Chud, that motor should move the Spartan pretty well and allow you to possibly run a bigger prop than you normally would due to the higher amount of torque being produced on 6S, considering the low amp draw required to generate that power. A T-180 should allow you to run a x445 or X447 with that motor to get that boat screaming!! I see guys on the Traxxas forum saying they are running a 2200 Castle motor on 6S in this boat but why risk it to go real fast for a short amount of time, with a small prop, when you can get a motor to go just as fast, with a large prop, for at leas 5-7 minutes of run time. More if you go 2P.
And Ray is right. If I remember electrical theory correctly, Y motors generate more RPM and Delta motors generate more torque.
