    Top Speed 3 Tunnel Hull

I think I'm going to hang on to this boat for a little while longer. I have the wood for a radio box so I'm going to install it and then decide whether to keep it or not. Thanks.

This boat has been cut down and is ready to accept an enlarged radio box for FE use. All the dirty work is done. It should make someone a nice P-Spec Tunnel. Includes the outboard mounting hardward and owners manual.

    Asking $90 shipped.

I will entertain all offers but first one who offers asking price gets it. No PM's.

Was this intended to be an electric conversion ? If so what outboard would work?

My son thought he wanted a nitro tunnel boat to race next year and these hulls were on sale at Tower so I picked one up. When he came to his senses, I considered doing a Spec Tunnel for myself. I'm being a little wishy washy as I have a few other builds to do over the winter. I think allot of first timers are afraid to do the FE conversion on a nitro boat and I was also my first time. But once you get over hacking up a perfectly good hull, it's no biggie. If no one wants it, I may just keep this boat and build the radio box for it. Then come spring time I'll decide whether I want to sell it, keep it as a spare hull for my son or run it myself. I'm sure it will sell once people see the finished product.

Brian Buaas kicked butt with a TS3 a year or two back so it's a good hull, but then again Brian can make a 2 x 4 haul the mail.

Generally you will find that Nitro boats designed for racing are so far above the hulls from HobbyKing and the RTR's that it ain't even funny. Nitro boat hulls have been in evolution for decades and the designers/builders have it down to a science. They know what works.

You will get rid of 99% of your problems by going to Nitro hulls.

The TS3 is a great boat, and you have done all the hard work to convert it to FE. Someone would be very smart to buy this hull from you.

Thanks Bill. How Does the weight and handling compare in a typical tunnel hull when switching from nitro to FE?

The weight is just about the same. My P-Spec Lynx (Tunnel Hull) is setup exactly like my MOD 20. I'm getting 55-56 out of my Nitro 20 and 52-53 out of my P-Spec.
