    MHZ Micro Iceburg

I just don't have time to build this little guy with building a 1:1 crawler so I'm going to put it up on here in the hopes that someone will give it the love it needs.

The hull is in pretty good shape, there are a few nicks here and there, but nothing major. It is already set up for twins and I am including the 1/8" drive lines, some aluminum to make new stuffing tubes, some brass that I had planned on using to make a little hatch handles like on the Gieco boats, and of course the pair of micro struts from OSE.

In the back the black marks are where I was going to mount my struts and stuffing tube. Only the rudder mounting holes and push rod are actually holes :)

I'll let it go for $100 shipped to the lower 48. And not a dime less :) If it doesn't sell I'll build it someday lol

    Here are some pictures...

          Copied from MHZ's site:

          Micro Iceberg

          Hull Type:
          Mini Catamaran

          Model:

The Micro Iceberg is a semi-scale replica of an offshore catamaran. The V shaped pontoons provide uncanny cornering as well as straight-line stability. The three small steps allow high speeds. Propulsion can be provided by either one or two 400-class brushed electro motors. For the ultimate performance, one or even two brushless motors have been used with outstanding results. The craftmanship of this ultra-light epoxy-glass hull is jewel-like. The hull has a mirror-like gelcoat finish which does not require painting.
          Kit Contents:
Light-weight epoxy-glass stronger than ABS-plastic or the heavier and weaker polyester-glass. Hull and hatch, with high-luster gelcoat do not require painting. Hull and deck are joined "wet-in-wet" for high strength seams.

          Technical Details:
          Length: 440 mm (17.3 inch)
Length (overall.): 510 mm (20 inch)
          Width: 126 mm (5 inch)
          RC functions: Rudder, Speed Control
          Electric Motor Requirements:

One Graupner 480 Race or 480 BB Race or Two 400 Speed

or Brushless (one or two) Modell Motors Mini AC 1216/15
          Cell requirements:

7 to 8 cells. For example N500AR or Sanyo AR 800 mAh or

          KAN950 or KAN1050 or 2s or even 3s lipo
          Competition Class: Mini Offshore

          :)

I'm interested, but have a few questions.

1-The 2 brass tubes out the back are for the struts?
2-What size motors would fit in there? 2, 28XX or 380 size??
3-Are those motor couplers, in the first picture, near the plastic baggie?
4-Is there a hole in between the 2 cockpits?

Sorry for all the questions. Just want to make sure I know what I would be getting in to.

                        Thanks

                          1) Yeah, thats where I think the PO was going to run them. I had planned on moving them over to where the half moons are and doing an aluminum tube to match the strut.
                          2) I think 380's is what its intended for. I had planned on running a pair of those Eflite Six motors
                          3) Yeah those are some dinky ass little u joint couplers. They are plastic. Honestly I had planned on throwing them away... I see no need for them in a properly setup boat.
                          4) Yeah, my only theory is that maybe that was going to be an antenna hole? Which is kinda retarded without that little proboat style tupperware sealed inner hatch. It was going to be filled before paint.

Also on the back of the boat the only holes are right in the center between the sponsons. The other black dots are sharpie from where I was going to mount the struts.

I had planned on getting the micro size rudder from the OSE store instead of that monster it comes with.

After seeing videos of these things run I was hooked. But my hobby ADD got the best of me and I'm back into Jeeps
