One step ahead of you buddy. Lost cause unless you want to order 50 of them with me. Some how I don't think we can use that many. I am going to make my own. I'll be testing some diffrent stuff out.

I don't have that kind of cash to blow on parts or the time it would take to return the investment. I'm not in business "yet" lol

              Hey Mich. Maniac,

If you wanted to buy the cooling plates that Ready Watts showed in that picture

You could give fuller a shout

I went to Steve first when I wanted cooling plates for my 'Cuda, but becuse he was out I had to goto Fuller. I think I paid the same price per plate ($50 for four if memory serves correctly)

              Fullers site - www.drcwebservices.com/ffe

That way you can buy a turn-key solution. All the cooling plates I have purchased have been aluminum (MHZ plate, Fullers 'Cuda PLates), I am guessing because of cost and ease of manufacturing.

Copper is king with regard to heatsinks, so I think homebrew heatsinks should be copper, they are more conductive with regards to heat and electrictiy (which are just boths forms of energy)

But this is all moot if you do not use a good thermal grease/compound between the FETs and the heatsink.

If you are up to it... you can make your own plates REALLY easily with just a soldering iron and some patience... Here are the ones I made for my TS-2 w/ SV27 ESC:

                http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/for...1&d=1189645650

A piece of K&S tubing and some K&S copper plate and you're there...
hey darin thanks for the info. i attempted to make my own a few days ago for my SV. they actually work good, but they arent real pretty. i had some small left over pieces of shrink wrap, so i used that instead of tape to hold them on. thanks again for sharing your "expertise"!!
