i trust your experience on FE tunnels and i have none with FE tunnels, plenty with mono's but 0 with outboards. building an outboard is a full blown experiment for me because all the water in hawaii is salt water and i am not even sure it is going to work out. what motor would you recomend, i have k&b, REK and lawless legs or was considering the Hyper Performance from OSE because it has a nice FE mount. i have plenty of cc 120 and 240's or ul1 esc's and 5000mah 30c 4s packs. i would rather not use one of my neu motors and cc240's in salt water because i am scared they might short out so i was thinking something like a super-v,ul1 or feigao 12L motor???? what do you use?
also i am curious about the radio/battery box. is this hull sealed at the trandsom or does it require a radio box like other tunnels? it looks open in the rear.

Hey, a CC120, UL-1, and REK lower would get this boat going just fine. The hull is very light, so it would not take a huge power plant to get it moving. You will need to add a full length radio box as I would never trust just the cowling in a tunnel like this. To much free room for something to come loose (battery), sling, and bust open the tape on a flipover. The shipping is your call. Just just let me know which way you want to do it.
