If the forecast wind direction does not change between now and Sunday I'll most likely drop by. Wind speed doesn't look bad but the direction is not conducive to flying at SRQ.Comment

Rich,
What Larry said. I think this class is really going to take off. There are now motors and speedo's available for little more money than a P-Ltd setup allowing the use of a larger 34" boat. Faster, more reliable, fewer blow overs.
With one caveat: Unless it is overtaken by Q-Sport Hydro, which is even more reliable (less amp draw) and more stable (bigger boat).Last edited by RayR; 01-23-2016, 06:26 AM.Comment

In order to run boats at your club, do you have to have a boat that fits into a certain "class?" Is one of the Sunday's a "race" day and the other a "test & tune" day? How serious are the races? I guess I'm asking about the culture of the club; is it a group of like-minded guys getting together to have fun running boats or is it really serious racing club with guys trying to qualify for district/regional/national type events?
I have a 40" deep vee running 10s with a Leopard 4092 930kv Motor. What "class" would this be in (if any)?
Thanks,
MattComment

we are mostly a group of like minded guys who get together to run for fun. Not too serious on race day, and yes, one weekend is fun running, the second sunday is for racing. A 10s boat will have a difficult time "stretching it's legs" on our smallish 1/8th mile course
please come on over and check it out!Comment

Thanks all for the replies. I won't be able to make it tomorrow but I'll try for the next one (and if I'm correct, that should be 2/14 (second Sunday of February)).Comment
