Hand a similar incident with the same individual on our last TnT day. Coming down the front stretch and boat was launched smack dab in front of me.

Appreciate the comment Dave. Certainly scared the bajeezus out of me when I came out of that corner.

And now that you mentioned it, I remember that incedent you had as well. All will be discussed at the next drivers meeting.

On another note.... what a great day. My day, as some of you may not know, went like this. I finished the final touches on my new LSO the night before. Last thing I did was patch the original steering rod boot hole in the transom as I relocated it. I launched the boat first thing before many of you got there and had no steering. I pulled the boat once I got it back to shore and noticed the servo was hardly moving the rudder. I opened it up... long story short, the resin to patch the existing hole ran down a crevis and filled the end of the new boot which epoxied the steering rod into place. After I fixed it... its amazing how two of the same hulls, built exactly the same, same electronics, etc etc and run and handle so differently. Im going to give it a few more weekends but the JBS schemed LSO may not make it to my LSO race boat choice.

Cheetah is still leaking. Thought I found the issue. the waters coming in only when its stationary. I pulled the drives last night, caulked everything up, tub tested it this am and it sctill leaks like a siv. Not as bad, but still bad. Im stumped......

Sounds like a seam. Pressurize the hull while holding under water. Pull the tubing off the water outlet, tape outlet shut. Pull tubing loose from rudder. Tape hatch. Blow.

no its in the transom around/ behind the drive somewhere. For some reason I cant get it to seal up. I can see it come in the hull, but its bleeding out from under the CF inlay. Im about to just fill the sponson transom areas w/ clear caulk and call it done.

Found the leak. It was in my tricky water pick up. If you havent seen it, Ive got transom thru hulls mounted vertically thru the bottom of the transom overhang. the small oring broke when I installed it. Youd think it would have been easy to figure out, but, what was happening is the water was leaking up thru the fitting, staying under the cf I laminated in and then showing itself oozing out the carbon fiber weave inside vertical corner where the sponson transom meets the tunnel side. This lead me to believe it was the drive bolts leaking when it was coming from above, but staying hidden Its been floating in my tub for 45 minutes w/ no water entering. Guess its fixed FINALLY!

Ron, what stinger is on it? Is it the one w the adjustment screw on top that angles towards the transom?

Not a lot of video shot today. Scott wasn't able to make it due to other commitments and Brian (RcKong) was involved in an auto accident earlier this week that left him with a couple broken bones.
I almost didn't make it myself after finding out a 60 year old should not go out and play war at an airsoft park for 4 hours and not expect some really sore muscles. The east wind today didn't help attendance either.
Anyways.. 1st up is Ray's new design Aeromarine Team Believer cat set up to run Q offshore class.

Last one for today, the other Bill's Sprintcat twin that caught some of the Ackerman air going down the back straight.

Looks like I'm becoming a real slacker with shooting video. Only three again today.
Attendence was down a bit again today. The predicted 10 mph @ 7:00 am east wind that jumped to around 17 mph from the ESE @ 10:00 am didn't help. It was a pretty accurate forecast too.
Anyway... This is Jeremy's friend Damion (I think) running the cat he bought from Jeremy. (I have no idea of what hull it is).Good visual aid of why one should set the throttle endpoints of an esc when changing radios though.

Scott and Chris playing a game of chase with the Geico and Mean Machine. Really choppy water today. Not sure of just how Chris managed to pick up that piece of marker buoy on his rudder.

(The other) Bill's Revolt and Pat's Pursuit with some footage of Scott's Geico. The revolt made a few revolutions when it went airborne. What a "revolting" development
