BG, Hugh, Larry & Scott do LSO although it was just ran as an oval since we were missing a course marker after the LSH run. When a fast moving hydro punches an inflatable ski pylon the marker loses.
I think Hugh took this one but could be wrong. I get confused with “who’s on 1st” when looking through the viewfinder.

Thanks Chris. I didn’t realize you were shooting this heat until I got home and started processing movies. Here’s Hugh, me and somebody new (another Bill) in a round of the Q boats. I got a pretty bad start but managed to work my way back up until the lvc cut in. Man we did a lot of laps. No wonder I'm so tired.

Here’s a short clip of me trying to get my H&M hydro set up after changing it over from LSH to P sport. This was it’s 1st splash since the transplant so it’s not “all that”. Would have been a P sport heat (or slaughter) if Larry hadn’t spun a prop dog.

Scott and myself running the “dreaded STD” class (even if mine is “illegal”). This was the 1st outing of my Mean Machine twin with Tacon 3674 1700kv motors. I think it needs a “barn door” for a rudder. 1st full throttle down the straight and crank the wheel to the right. It keeps going straight. Panic and let off the throttle. Hard hook. After a few laps I did figure out it would corner at speed, just not at WOT. It still needs a wider rudder though.

Another round of LSH with just Chris & Larry running. This should make you feel better Chris. Larry knows how to go spear fishing too. His “catch” refused to let go though.
That’s it for video taken today. I did snap a few stills though. One or two of them show just how glassy the lake was when no boats were churning it up.

01/08/12 It was an unusual weather conditions day for Ackerman today. Just a touch of breeze and water that was almost a mirror like Encore was on the 1st.
1st up is Dan’s recently acquired Team Believer cat. Somehow the esc endpoints missed being set and it was a little bit on the slow side.

Here's Dave’s (HRC) Miss Elam glow to electric conversion with a Neu 1515/1.5d running 3s 2p. This was it’s 1st time in the water.

Here's a round of LSO with Scott, Brian, Hugh, Brian G, & Rich (did I miss anybody?) I’d say Scott was the winner of this one.

Here’s the dreaded STD’s. Rich, Brian, Scott and me. I can tell you for sure who the winner wasn’t. I gotta get a better rudder setup on this thing. I think this one was Rich’s win.

Nope, Rich isnt legal. Brian and I are the only legal STD boats in this go around..... William!Comment

My 47” mono off on a solo run. Seems like the demons of Ackerman were haunting me today. Or maybe I just can’t figure out how to drive on calm water.
Watch closely as the video approaches the one minute mark.
