It's not looking promising for sure. The aviation site only make it up to early Sat moring right now but that's showing winds around 18 mph from the north. If you're planning to run, you better have a big boat.
It is always windy in Florida in Fall and Winter. I used to be a full scale sailor. Summer was for staying in as the winds were calm. Winter was the time to go sailing! Not much you can do about it. ;-)
Any thoughts on whether we're going to attempt to run this Sunday. I haven't started prepping anything yet other than charging the rescue boat battery.
Looks like it's going to be pretty windy. Saturday is currently showing over 20 mph from the northwest at around 11:00 AM and tapering off to 11 mph at 2:00 AM Sunday morning. That's as far as the chart goes right now.
On another note I wanted to let you guys know that there is renewed talk about a one day race series again next year. They have been discussing what classes to run and what format. The is even talk of combining some fe and nitro classes. I don't know about you guys but it would be fun to run against some nitro boats. The discussion is being held in the races section on international waters. They have not said how many races there will be next year but my guess is probably 4-6 races. I hope you guys will be interested in racing with them. I am sure they would be willing to run strictly electric classes if there is enough interest
With the weather looking like a blow-out coupled with the fact I injured my elbow Tuesday and doubt I can get the retrieve boat in the truck - it's not looking too good on my end.
