So Bill, do you no longer have a ptd? What's the plan?
I'm not going to run the DF cat again until after the swap meet. Right now it's still "pristine" and hoping somebody will decide they want it. Guess I could prop up a little and run my illegal STD as P twin. If the new rudder fixes the cornering problem it would still make it around the course faster than the Explorer can.
I need a bigger van to bring all my crap to the swap meet! ;-) I'd bring some planes too but I think the boats and goodies will take up all the room! I'll have a couple of riggers you guys haven't seen. Still looking for a serious buyer for my 1/10th scale Coors Light. If anyone knows anyone looking for some smaller boats (not my micros), tell 'em to be there. Really fun boats. Factory prototypes mostly. They range from 22" - 27". I'll have two self righters that are really cool! I'll have motors, esc's, hardware, shafts, etc etc etc.
I taped the 'nose cone' on last night and filled it with the my glass/epoxy concoction and topped that off with the milled fiber mix. Popped it off this morning and it looks fairly descent using Bill's 50/50 rule of thumb (50' away at 50mph).
I sanded off the boogers then shot it with some rattle-can yellow Rustoleum, I'll give it another shot tomorrow and call it good. When I put the tape ascent back on it'll look OK.
Repair looks good Chris
Did you ever figure out what happened there? I know we got really close to each other a time or two but don't think we made contact.
