Hey Brian G. I stopped off by George's hobby shop in Palmetto on my way home this evening and mentioned that we were planning to run at Encore on the 1st. His son said he thought the water there was brackish (salt).
Can you verify one way or the other if it is or isn't?
Thanks
Bill
This is news to me about the water. Did you plan to drink it or run in it?????? LOL LOL Merry Christmas to all you Aquamaniacs. BGComment

I have heard the same thing but not about Encore. It's a different lake at a different RV park. If it's brackish, it has salt in it. Just be sure to wash everything down good with fresh water and spray with Corrosion X after running.Mini Cat Racing USA

Encore water
A little reasearch on the subject. The water in the lake got a little salted in the 2004 Hurricane but has had none since. The weed killer used here does not work in salt water and as you can see, the chemical is quite effective here. The lake supports fresh water fish also. I have concluded that as none of my boats are showing any signs of corrosion, the water is acceptable. But as Sailr has pointed out, it is always good practise to clean your treasures effectively. Speaking of treasures, the Rico 31 looks KILLER. BGComment
