Just getting curious as to what kind of head count we're going to have this Sunday. I'm prepping LSH and Q for sure. That way Chris and Scott will have someone to run against. May be an "interesting" day for the smaller boats. The aviation site still doesn't make it to Sunday but is now showing 20 mph out of the east for Saturday though.

Other than a litttle friendly running we're not actually reacing this weekend. It's mostly a test n tune session and we'll probably be wrapping up and leaving the lake by noon. The location is Ackerman Park in Sarasota just off I-75 at exit 210. Here's the "canned" directions:

Ackerman Park is located just east of I-75. Exit 210 to Fruitville Road and head east. Turn right (south) onto Coburn Road (approx 0.7 mile) and proceed to East Sawgrass Road. (again approx 0.7 mile). The lake will be located on the right hand side and the 1/6 mile course markers can be seen.

After watching the local forecast on tv this morning and checking the av site beginning to wonder if we should scrub trying to run at Ackerman this weekend. If they are accurate there will be whitecaps on the lake as it's supposed to be coming from the worst possible direction for us.

And may be rainy too. Ill do whatever. I am itching to get the fc in the water. Perhaps the eas bank will remain runnable... but have to see what the rains going to be doing.

We could always run on your pond. It seems to be pretty well sheltered even if it is a little smaller and doesn't have the course markers.

Thought about that too. Just doesn't accommodate the Q boats very well. But at least it would let us splash some boats.

Like you I'm itching to splash the little hydro and see how it runs. Guess we could do some GPS Q saws to see what kind of top end speeds we're getting. Should give an idea of how it will fare down the straights even if it is a little cramped for full throttle turns.

We'll see what the weather does. My hopes for q are gone again for the time being. I've been running here since about 745. Like all the others I've run, straight is good, can't corner. I need a corner testing area. We do have a new area in the community w a larger pond... I may go there later

Yeah, if we can run we can meet up here. Even as protected as it is, It was bumpy this am when I was running. More so, the wind is still there and effects the hull A LOT.

HUGH, I thought I had red left and I did not. I changed the game plan a little of how the blue would start and this is where its at. Let me know if you want me to add something to it, or you can just add decals or pinstriping etc. These pics dont do it justice at all. Its pretty overcast and gloomy out, but you get the idea.
