San Diego - North County

Does anybody run FE at any lakes in North San Diego County? A local hobby shop mentioned they had heard of people running at Lake Hodges. But it is a big lake and he didn't know where.

I have ran at the San Diego Model Boat Pond down a few times but I would like to find a freshwater place to run. And hopefully somewhere a little closer than a 45 minute drive.

Very old thread, don't know if you are still interested but I have ran at Libby lake in the north part of Oceanside many times over the past 10 years or so. Never had any problems at all.I still like the model boat pond in Mission Bay a lot better but it's 40 miles away and sometimes you just gotta make a run or two so it serves the purpose.
