Hi Jim, would love to join you in beautiful San Diego and run my boats, but it is a long way to come for the day from Melbourne. But very tempting, the weather is really cold here at the moment.
    Chris.

Darren - I run gassers at the Model Boat Basin. I run my FEs at my "secret" lake. I should have my Purple light Hydro ready to test by early next week at my lake. I'll NEVER run FE in saltwater. Gimme a call @ 619-462-2668 or email @ jimmarcum7@ juno.com.

I have a secret lake as well :). You dont happen to be out in east county do you? I never run my FE's down at the basin either. I have a 50" hydro I'm converting from a gasser to electric. Hopefully it'll be done soon.

Darren, I live in La Mesa. My 43" Purple Light hydro was converted from a gasser too. In gasser mode the CG was WAY too far aft, but as an FE it's right where I want it. Lets get together & discuss our "secret" lakes. They're secret cuz I don't want noisy gassers to run there, piss off everyone & get all RC boats kicked out. I'm also building a FE 53" Seagad cat & a 53" Aeromarine hydro. All are running Leopard 5692 motors. JIM

Good to find another local. Is your Aeromarine hydro the square nosed one with a turbine shroud no tail fins? Thats what mine looks like. I've been into R/C for 25 years, but am new to the LIPO/Brushless FE boats. The other local guy is an FE expert & is helping me with my setups.

Yes sir sounds like the same boat. And same with me, I've done quite a bit of nitro boat stuff but i'm new to the FE stuff. Maybe we can compare notes and help eachother out. I need it for sure!

Hi Jim, Visited San Diego in August 2008. We went to Sea World and then did a tour of the USS Midway followed up with lunch over looking the bay at a great restaraunt
Next to the Midway. Had a great time. A very nice place to visit and live. We will definently be back.
                        Regards,
                        Chris.
