I was the real.winner of the event. Walked away with a new, shiny yellow FE 30. Real exited about getting it rigged up. Had a great time and can't wait to do it again.

Just want to say we all had a great time at the nats everyone helped everyone, but a big thxs goes to lenny for coming and calling the races for the four days, another big thxs goes to all the manufacturers that sent the great prizes for the raffle.
This was my first national and loved it racing was tight and in the most part clean, made some new friends and some met some real characters one who will stick in my mind was pags, was a pleasure to meet you and thxs for picking up the bar tab. Also thxs to brad for getting the doughnuts every morning and for the use of the generator.Socal Fe member, miss gieco castle 1515 1y t-180, blackjack29 stock, insane FE30 p sport castle 1515 1y t-180, insane FE30 p spec ul-1 motor t-120, insane 34"mono neu 1521 1.5d t-180Comment

Mr. Offshore Award goes to (drum roll, please...)
Mike Paganelli with 180.75 total laps for the day!
Running 5 boats for 4 rounds each really tests ones ability to, well, have their crap together. Pags pulled through, even with an exploded driveline in his T Offshore cat that ripped out a section of the hull. It needed serious surgery...all while he's running 4 other classes. The guy can hustle, both on and off the water!
Congratulations, Pags! Don't worry, I'll keep the 1st Place Q Offshore plate highly visible in my garage for the next year.Comment

He's still texting me about it! But, he's rubbing my nose in the P Mono loss.
Here are the top 5 High Points racers:
5th Place: Ted McKay at 52 points
4th Place: Brian Buaas at 54 points
3rd Place: Ken Haines at 58 points
2nd Place: David Newland at 76 points
1st Place: Jason Sims at 78 points
Point totals were derived by finding the best 6 classes of each racer. You get points based on how many racers are in the class. For instance, if there are 20 racers in LSH and you win the class, you get 20 points. If you take 2nd place, you get 19 points, and so on. It's a formula I use that helps take the wallet out of the High Points award, and puts emphasis on the more popular FE classes. You're rewarded handsomely if you win the highest participated classes.
Pags would have been in the hunt, but he missed the first round on Wednesday (literally flew in that morning), and he didn't run Saturday. He raced better than I've ever seen...just didn't race the full event.Comment

Just got off the phone with Haines. He had a trailer tire blow out on the way here, and the other 3 let go on his return trip...still driving.Comment
