Rio ep with a couple new mods.

Hi,
I moved things around in the setup,
To help with torque roll in mind air when coming off some waves.
And it also gave the boat more speed to,
I just need to tweak the trim tabs a little bit more to get to full throttle now.
On 2s 40c 5000mah pack I got 30mph gps,
And on 3s 30c 6400mah pack I got 39mph gps with a Garmin etrex legend.
I just forgot the charge up camcorder battery.


First test on 2s.

Now with 3s.

I just watched your videos. Very nice. All your boats seem to handle well and still haul the mail. Can't wait to get home so I can work on my Rio. I plan to up load videos of it SAP.

It's a local farmers pond with the green houses in the back grand and just up the road too,
The motor is a HK and I think it is 2600kv, There are no makings on it.
And I do not see them at HK any more,
They had 2300kv and 2600kv and 1400kv in this size can.
It is 36mm x 57mm and has 4 holes in the end caps to,
The funny thing is I bought it as a package deal of three motor on here for $35.00
And got lucky with it for the Rio.

If its the bronze can motors I love those and have owned many, running a couple right now. The 1800kv on 4s was a favorite setup of mine. I ran the 2600kv on 3s2p in my DF Mini Sniper, sold it though..............

That is the babies and I think it is the 2600kv by the can size.
Did yours have the holes in the end cap too?
Yes, DK535 has that boat of yours.
We will be running together some time soon down hear I think.
I drove up to where he runs last year,
And shot some video's and had a pretty good day running boats.

From what I remember, that was WOT the whole time.........................except for a few seconds on the corners

Rio hit 41.6mph gps on 3s 30c 5300mah,
But I can not go full throttle with it yet.
I need to try tabs down a little more or add some weight to it,
So it says in the water for more speed.
That would just be for testing when doing speed runs.

man those are some sweet runs your boat seems to corner better than mine why is that I can't seem to go very fast around corners.

Just about all my hardware I made and modded for this boat,
Plus they are sharp and sanded smooth as glass too.
You could make or buy better turn fins and trim tabs for yours.
I need to see how yours runs with the lipo's first,
Before I tell you to mod anything else yet.
