Titan 29" with Leopard 4082 1600Kv at the beach

This was filmed by me while driving with the other hand.
It seems to me that the M445 prop provides a faster linear acceleration than X440/3 and both props takes the boat at the same speed.

I would think you could prop it up higher, no? How are temps?

I ordered a Hobby King XK4082 1600kv motor for my Spartan I'm building and now I'm a bit bummed at the speeds you got and what I was expecting, seeing the 6 or so inches in hull length. I was planning on propping high on 4S but I may have to go with 6S instead.

Don't get me wrong, your boat looks awesome. Just double guessing my decision for mine.

You're not even taxing that big motor at all............................you can hit 55mph easy with more prop or 6s.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Last Sunday at the pond on mirror water I was able to drive full throttle constantly on the turns too. The setup was the same as I had in the sea.
          Motor: Leopard 4082 1600Kv
          ESC: Hobbywing Seaking 180A-R
          Timing: 15°
          Prop:M445
          Battery: Zippy 5000mAh 40C 5S2P
          COG: 30%

          Top speed was 76,1 Km/h = 47,3 mph

And temps after 5 minutes were:

          ESC Caps: 56°C = 133F
          Etti Caps: 42°C = 108F
          ESC Temp: 48°C = 118F
          Motor Temp: 49°C = 120F
          Zippy: 58°C = 136F

What should I do? I have ordered an X642 and X645, but I don't know if I can run them for more then 2-3 minutes full throttle.
