They don't handle tumbleswell. Mine has a slight split on the starboard side seam from a mid-fifty cartwheel. I would imagine a full speed tumble would put this project to an end. I have been using white duct tape. Works good so far.

442 is a safe start. Run it for a few passes then check temps. If everything looks good slap a 642 on there and re-check. Both props are a must have in anybodys "tackle box".

u think i will smoke the esc w either of the props w the 2300kv motor on 2s, im not looking to run high mph like yours but would like to see maybe 55 im still kinda fuzzy on how the octura props are listed whats the diffrence between the 442 and the 642

I think you mean 4s from (2) 2s batts right? I'd start with the lower pitched prop (442) then if everything looks good temp-wise try the 642. The first number in the octura prop is the pitch ex 442 is a 1.4, 642 is a 1.6 pitch. The last 2 numbers are the diameter in mm. So both are a 42mm prop with slightly different pitches. More pitch will make more heat so that's why I suggested the 442 first. As far as speed on a single drive I don't really know. Didn't mess with mine much before I twinned it.

Ive been busy w/ work and whatnot. I hadnt splashed a boat in 6 or 7 weeks, til last week. My neighbor bought a BJ26, so I ran mine w/ his.

I will get her up and runnin again soon. Especially if you hit the 80mph mark.... Sweet Holey Moley!

I gotta find a better place to run. The one place I was gonna go has been taken over by some kind of moss or something.

How are you running 438s? are they L&R props? Or are they both running same rotation?

They were born as a x442 and x442r before I whittled em down a little. Small props have worked well on this so far. When Steven gets in some more s&b 442r's imma try those out on her.
