    BBY's New P LTD Hydro

I just finished a new 4Cell Rigger for the P LTD Hydro class I NAMBA District 9 points racing. Winter was a wet one in Northeren Califorina so testing was minimal. First race I got the win but I did not like the tail dragging and made some changes to the reat ride pad. That did not go well and racing was rough till I mad the last change to two rear sponsons and a 280 inch ounce servo. Now it appears to work great.

Looks good. SAW boat with a turnfin. It's the direction we're all going.

Ok I did real well learning about wide sponson setups last year with this boat. I was competitive at the winter warm ups I just got ran over and the boat was too damaged to go on. I won the district. Well that boom for the turn fin is just too much work to do over and over again. So the next step is to use traditional sponsons that are the best width so far.......

This is my setup for the generation BBY P LTD Rigger.

Little up date. I have the tub almost done and the sponsons will be on the boat by Monday. I am going to work on the rear shoes today. I am getting close to finishing my part of the build. I figure I will be done some where around the 5th of April give or take a day or two.

This thread should be moved to the build section.

Progress on the rigger shoes and nose done motor install next.

                      Hi Randy,

What are the trade-offs of using shoes at the stern versus a ski (like the JAE21)?

I tried to use the center ski like you call it and it did not give me the feel I wanted. It also got in the way finding ride depth of the strut. I have ran a center ski in a lot of my builds over the years riggers and sports both. In the beginning we needed the lift in sports because the brushed/Nimh setup did not have the power. With riggers we still can use the theory to our advantage.

Motor is in, the connectors installed on the esc and motor.
