i used tamiya paints its pretty hard drying shell , much like gellcote deep blue met and mid blue with silver base and white base stripe on the hatch.
. ride pads use a rubber sanding block level them out with 240git ,dont rub to deep into the glass , you can now see the hooks .mask off were your filler runs over sides and fill with light weight car filler
carefully wipe over them filling the hooks .sand and refill any spots you missed or are not level ,finish with 400 git mask up and prime , sand 1200 git wetdry ,pant 1 +1/4 small tamiya tins did the white . great finish of that paint ,then lightly sand with 800 one way front to back and leave it like that ,a polished hull is slower in the water then a flat sanded finish .
Well I was planning on having the ride pads part of the design of the.boat as well if possible. I'm looking for a finished product like
Ill have checkered on front tips and across the back hatch like on the real boat.my friends dad has.
well you will need a air brush to paint checkers on , or decals ,the black drop shadow on the blue will need air brush ,but can be done with rattle cans if your good , lol

very tricky on geico hull the nose is rounded as you know ,so it will pinch the decal as it rolls over the side , need to do them it two or 3 segments and try your best to match them up !
yeah i think you will need to depends on the decal play around with it see how you go .spray water with dish washing liquid on hull and sticker / decal so you can move it around .
