I also have a x452/3 I my try a three blade because they seam run smother to me on mono's.
I have some bigger props to try to.
Biggest I have is a /1457 and 65/100

Ran it today..
Ask me if I did a float test first.
Ugh. 2 laps, the nothing. Got it back with a ton of water in it. RX was wet, but OK. Servo is glitching like mad, so I get to take that apart...yay.

It was very fast for the second I hammered on it though. CG was at 30%, and need to go up more. Lept out of the water going full throttle from a 30 roll.
I may keep this setup, but might yank the gear to put in my gas Sprintcat.

This boat sucks. Handles like a toilet. The previous owner made the strakes larger to try to help with chine walk. Bad move. It doesnt turn.... at all. It wont bank over onto it's side to initiate a turn and just hops like mad. Trie to make a low speed left turn and it rolled right over. It was damn fast in the straights though with a light 1p setup. Never even tried 2p. Ripped all the gear out to put in my big cat. That will be up and running soon.
