Tampons!

If like me you get a small amount of water coming in, place a tampon where it will contact the water (but not catch on anything) and you will find it sucks up any water that gets in leaving the inside bone dry!!

You will get odd looks from other boaters / your missus! but it helps until you fix the leak!

This was funny to read. If its water coming up the teflon liner heat shrink at the end form a barrier. If the boat is leaking from the transom I would re-seal it. I can imagine going to a race and them checking your boat over saying whats your set-up;

haha! I did eventually find the leak it was a small inperfection in the epoxy which ive sorted.

I have used tampons in my boats. Works great. But make sure it's secured and don't let it get wrapped up in the prop shaft! Ask me how I know! I burned up a perfectly good motor and esc when this happened.

I'm new to RC boats, but the guys at my LHS suggested that to me, and it works like a charm. I cut the string off, to avoid any tangles. Now, I have to start looking for leaks.

Listen folks, you are WAY better off cutting 1X2 inch pieces of sponge.
i'm not home right now with the pics, but I can show you one of what happens when that thing expands to the size of a cucumber, and
it gets caught up in the drive coupler then creates a "white wedding" inside yer hull.

I personally never performed this feat, but I saw a guy do it at a race and it wasn't pretty..
Please trust me on this, I don't want to see this become common practice with beginner or novice boaters.
