I think eventually I'd like to see it in the low-mid 50's and stay flat with no bounce. Right now the handling is great and pretty much zero porpoising. I don't think I want to go much faster than 50's, I'd rather not blow the hull apart if it goes over. lol.

Just out of curiosity, is that achievable on 4s? With the right motor/esc/prop? Any suggestions on a good stable setup?

As far as my existing problem, I think I have a couple things to try next time out.

Well if u wanna go in the 50s ur definently gonna wanna reinforce the front of the hull, even with the right setup dialed in, it can still flip with the wrong gust of wind and stuff like that. Yes it's achievable I've seen a video if it in the high 50s on 4s, he used a leopard (or tacon same thing) 4074, and seaking 180 esc. I have the same setup as him and I would find it easy to say its in the 50s. Would recommend putting expanding foam in the front, or reinforce the seams, because the proboats cats, r pretty weak at the seams!

Makes sense, first thing I did was glass in the battery area.

2200kv? Is the M445 too much prop for that setup?

Yup, there's a few weak spots that could be improved but, heck it's a nice hull and runs good! Lol, ok as for the prop question r u asking about the leopard/tacon setup, or stock?? If so, I use a m445 on it and it gets warm but nothing that I'm seriously worried about!

Yeah I was wondering about it on the Leapord/Tacon setup. What KV motor are you running?

2200kv, 2 2s gens ace 40c 5000, runs like a charm, just getting it dialed in! I cracked the hull though this past weekend, I was driving it when I really shouldn't have, hit a wave, rear clipped a wave, it submarined and I THINK that cracked it!
Great setup though! (Lots of people recommend putting 5.5mm bullets throughout, batteries, esc everything!)

Right on, sounds similar to what I was looking at already. Cracking your hull doesn't sound very motivating though. lol. I did the same thing with mine on Memorial Weekend, couple of full speed runs and nosed it in pretty hard off a wake. Guess it's not fast enough to crack right now. lol.

I bought 5.5 bullets initially, just never put them on. I didn't want to have dedicated batteries for the boat, but may end up going that route. Or maybe I'll just make some adapters to go from the bullets to Traxxas if I want to run them in something else..... Don't ask me why everthing is Traxxas, lol. I hate Deans plugs so it snowballed from there. haha.

I know, was a little bummed when I found out, but it was somewhat my fault because I read MILLIONS of people say, just put some expending foam in the sponsons and it will re in force it enough, but I ignored it as though Na I'll be fine. Then it happened! so what would I do if I was u and getting this setup, "use expanding foam!" Hahahahaha, I tell u one thing though, it REALLY catches everyone's eye. Specially if you go to the lake everyone is AMAZED by it! Lol
