i just like to say i am loving this boat best boat i have ever own
    after 20 years in rc boating .i just installed a 22ookv 4074 and 180amp esc grim 42x55 prop that i gave a
good going over , the boat simply is a winner and very stable ! i gps it with stock motor esc and grim prop at 37mph . i shall test its speed soon , but i think its pushing way faster then that now ,up around 45mph
the only problem i have had was the receiver failed after installing 5-6 volt HV switching BEC

quick video in the video link section of it maiden with the upgrades if anyone interested

lol well the good luck wore off today . steering servo failed and i hit a yacht crack the hull around the seam at the front .. i already purchased a new hull
only 160au including post . i repair this one as well as fixing the pontoons so they are nice and smooth and repaint it . keep it for a spare .
oh well its only money , the stock servo just stopped working , nothing i could do . lucky i was only going slow and did not damage the other boat just bent his rudder , sigh i have some carbon matting and resin . be tricky feeding wet sheets up in the nose to strengthen the joint were it cracked .
bad luck i guess , the boat was hauling ass today ,

stock servo stoped on me to, far out. I had to punch the throttle so it would make big circkles and got it back to shore after a while. But I also cracked the front like you did, hit one small wave, flew past the next ,and dead stop in the third, rolled over and sank., Luckely it was onle knee deep at so I rushed out and got it quick.

i had a gut feeling it was rubbish and needed replacing , just never got around to it . . by the time the other hull shows up i have this one fixed or maybe not , i can post progress pics if interested in how its done ,, this hull will be stronger and much better then a stock hull.
you guys know this and have explained in detail how its done in other miss geico miss haps"threads,i be following the steps out lined by some of the hull repairers
                  on this site.
                  step 1
I striped out the hull the bare bones removed all the hard ware.heat gun helped to soften the glue and removed all the timber including the battery trays

                  step 2
I opened up the crack with a butter knife and injected a 5min 2 part epoxy resin along the crack ,then taped it down strips of tape making sure its pulled together nice and true ! wipe the excess that runs out off with acetone before it sets just a damp cloth not ringing wet or it will smear and set !

                  step 3
I injected 30min epoxy after heating in microwave for 10 seconds using a syringe with rubber hose and wire as a hose support then mixed parts together and injected in side the hull pontoons nose section 1/2 in deep and all along the hollow seams back to hull opening .

this is were i am up to now ! next is the tricky part

                  step 4
I will use a light weight fiberglass woven cloth and 50mm wide strips with polyester resin to strengthen the inside seams front and sides after a good sandi have a long handle brush with bent end ,wooden paint stiring sticks i intend to feed the wet bits down and wet them in,

                  step 5
I will smooth out the crack on the outer hull remove lose gelcoat sand and fill with 2 part epoxy aqua putty ,sand prime !

                  step 6 is optional
I intend to layup the hull with carbon/Kevlar woven cloth were i have good access only . then epoxy carbon fiber engine mounts in water pickups and true up and sharpen the pontoons dips and shallows before paint .i better get cracking sound like a lot of work !

thanks man yeah sure is tight working up in the nose .its not pretty but it should hold together ok now ,. i will set it up on HK 40mm water cooled motor mount on 2.5mm carbon fiber uprights. and carbon fiber servo mount bracket .. i trimmed down the sides of the timber trays and lowered them down in the pontoons,,. . back to work tomorrow so i might not get to much more done, till weekend. next i start fixing the out side crack and filling the pontoons nice and level ,
have a close color match as i am a painter by trade ,so i just touch up the front crack. and pontoons as best i can .

i shall be stuffing plenty of foam up the nose to stop the upper deck flexing down ,which leads to the seam cracking .
