put a tube thru the transom and stick it out just enough to slide the boot onto it. It should be just big enough to slide the boot over it

This is similar to Jim's great idea. You may also use a water outlet ( if you have one lying around) like the one in the pic but you install it with the flange side of the outlet is inside the hull so you have a base and where you put ca glue for better hold. Then just like what Jim suggested, slide the rubber bot to the water outlet. Just find the appropriate size for your boot. If you don't have lying around, you may also use a brass tube and have one side flared so you get the same base for the ca glue. Good luck with the build and keep us posted. :)

Ok starting my build in the morning of my blackjack with castle 2200kv looking at the parts list i got I have one part that was listed on proboat site that I cannot find where it would go in the build.It is called pushrod connector here is a link

Hi guys got my build started today and so far got the strut and rudder installed servo in and pushrod ran through the boot.I have a question about the servo horn for the blackjack, I bought the dynamite servo that comes in the rtr and a proboat servo that comes in the mystic.I noticed the horn that came with the dynamite servo would not work so I took the one out of the package that came with the proboat servo.It looks pretty similar to the one in my blackack rtr but not sure if it is the same one.Does anyone know of a servo horn that would be a good fit for that dynamite servo in this boat or which one they use in the blackjack rtr?

I should get it all done tommorow hopefully just have esc and motor to put in then to test out everything.I will san a few pics in the morning and show what I got done so far.

But no hurry yet with some snow still on the ground hear.
Also need to fix the nose and sponson still to.
I just picked up a nice Mystic on the swap shop that needs a little tlc now and a inner lid to,
Strut bushing feels worn out for the flex shaft, It has some wobble to it.
Most likely lack of lubing it good, Because the boat is just to clean in side at the stuffing tube to.
I may get you to hook me up with a modded hatch for it,

We just had a minor construction here at home for a couple of weeks now and kinda resurrected my 2 other hobbies - so was quite busy. But I finally started on the cardboard mock-up of a yacht cabin for my apache - its kinda frankenstein-ish as I kept on altering the design and shape as I cant really plunk down a concept that I like. Im hoping I could get there soon as im actually building on top of the apache.

So what kind of fiberglass hatch you looking for? Stock MG, turbine or simpler turbine (without the air intakes and top scoop)?

Been a lil busy but got my blackack from bare hull almost done.Castle 2200 installed with a seaking 180.Also put in a Traxxas TQi radio and reciever with telemetry sensors installed voltage and temperature sensors and using docking base with ipod touch for real time telemetry.Just have a few things to button up and water test for leaks and will post my results and how the traxxas tqi stuff works out with the sensors.

Yes bent works or busted like my mini bolt I ran aground to day,
Time to do some glassing on the transom with some tlc on top.
