Hmmm..........maybe a 50" Komodo?!?? We can call it Godzilla!!

I still do have my 40" Cig boat to offer if I could get back on it for more testing.

But heck, there's practically every kind of boat offering from 40" and up out there now - the gas boat hulls have them all covered from race to scale boats up to probably 100" - no need to reinvent the wheel on those.
If Im gonna do a project, I might as well do something (practical size) that has never been done before - a size that could be an option for both gas or electric. But then again, most gas hulls now could be done with electric power .............. expensively, but doable for those with deep pockets.

After releasing the 37" Komodo Cat, nothing much on my side - either FE or Gas. Thou Im helping both Master Oscar and Stephen with some small fiberglass projects like canopies for their Lazer 45 gas boats, etc.
I recently cleaned and cleared my work table and thinking of what possible project to do next ............. but no fireworks or big bangs just yet. While waiting, Im envisioning a wood kit ........... maybe a zippkits? But waiting for a zippkit to arrive will probably have sparked a project built and done even way before that zippkit have arrived.

Althou, I might design a new Komodo canopy ............hmmmm. Something different but still revolving around the turbine concept.

They can be a squeeze.I once scratch built a 20" rigger that weighed 2lbs with 18 nicds in it.Got 70mph out of it then tried a little nitro .10 in it and never got it to run.Would like to do another one day.

We are currently painting the canopy and sponsons of a wooden gas rigger for Master Oscar - its a Warpath rigger. Coincidence eh?
While I've seen videos, I havent seen an actual rigger run so hopefully Master's rigger will maiden this coming Sunday. I'll take a video!

It seems these are the fastest things on water. It should be exciting to see!

My little rigger used to throw a 8ft rooster off the turn fin.Guess it wasn't really a rooster but you know what I mean.

I am now working on Master Oscar's rigger canopy - making the windshield.
Its racking my brain, but its fun!

My project has arrived.Me mom (mailing addy)called at 10:00pm last night and said I have packages. They are out of that darn CF/Zylon that I was going to use on the Komodo.I wonder what I can find locally as I will have a medical week off after the 9th.

Should be paying Andy next week for my custom R-42.
I still have a Bling Rocket/Pursuit sitting in the box and a boat to rescue yet.

So I have my winter booked.

Upon inspection Mac,You have done a beautiful job on this..

It is a bit bigger in there than I expected.Still think the 3434's will be good but if I don't get my FC back this may go High Voltage. The hull is nice and smooth, the pads are awesome and it is a good sturdy layup. I'm just trying to decide whether to overbuild it or not.

Well, everyone deserves a pat in the back as I got all your infos together to build that. I guess its one of those "you'll never know how far a dare will get ya" moments but its a journey worth taking anytime!

Do me a favor Shawn and make a build thread of it here in OSE. Take lots of pics and try to include the MG turbine canopy on the background as well! (hehehe) Its time for our babies to fly from the nest, so to speak. Hopefully this will generate interest to the person who will eventually market it.

Enjoy it bud and hope I successfully conveyed all the collaborated ideas into it!
