They do offer the offset rudder (offset bracket with rudder only) for about $30.

So the complete offset Mystic strudder will set you back $50-$55?
yeah, i know, the mystic one is expensive. isn't the one from r2hobbies just $20?

              Hey Shawn,

Did you get to see my post regarding a 4082 1600kv, T180 and 6s for MG?

Also, in the gas boat community - there are a lot of R-42 builders who connect their strut from the inside transom not outside. Of course this means cutting a slit under the hull for the vertical bracket. I read somewhere that it may lessen blow overs, etc. Just thought maybe if it could be applied to FE boats too?
Maybe I need to research more.

Im kinda in the "exploration" mood, so willing to dwell on discussing options and what not. I never had a system like that, so was invoking any inputs from our friends over here.

Check this page of JPriami's MG. "Less is more"

                    http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...-can-do!/page3

Connecting the rudder bracket just straight to the transom simply maybe the best than a cantilevered system.

So this would make sense as I recall reading. As you move the prop rearward off the transom it affects the fulcrum point and makes the bow lighter.

mardon or shawn, if i get the r2, ose, fc or even kintec strudder assembly is it hard making the part to join the strut to the stuffing tube? any instructions?

also, shawn you mentioned that i should get the x445 prop for starters correct?

I believe we discussed it right here on this thread on those long and narrow cats - they run straight and fast, but takes the full pond to turn. Having an inside bolted strut does make the "wheelbase" much shorter - it may help in turning and keeps the nose down.
It just makes me wonder if this would help MG or even the upcoming Komodo 37" cat.

Have you noticed anyone doing that in FE? In the gas community, R-42 builders seems to integrate the inside mounting for racing cats - some even if they're just into sport running.

Being in a different country where shipping adds to the overall cost, I had to be content with whatever I got - and since I already have my R2 strudder with me before the hull arrived, I had to make it work. Sorry if I cannot answer your question in relation to the other strudder brands.
Hopefully those other members here can chime in if they've experienced any of the other brands you mentioned.

                                Strut - Rudder - Prop

ok, here's what i'm looking to order for Strut, Rudder & Prop unless you steer me in another direction

                                Mystic Offset Rudder (PRB4078)
Mystic Prop Strut (PRB4105) << this happens to be the same part number as the mg29 part
                                Octura Prop (X445)

will i be able to use the plastic breakaway screws with this system?
