It's raining now a little! we only have two choices here, wet and dry! Most days are dry but during June to Dec. when it rains, it pours! Hehehe Bad news is, the weather bureau says 2012 is a La Nina year so, we are expecting more and stronger cyclones than last year!

I can't agree with you more Shawn! Remember just last December more than 1,000 people died and many more are still missing in Southern Philippines. Come to think of it, it was just a tropical storm!

                  Project Updates:

Been busy this last couple of days ............

Jason - your exhaust pipe arrived last Friday - super thanks for the gifts bud! They will fit nicely in my Geico gasser!

Princess Boat - done with making a new fiberglass rear hatch. Replaced the 1620kv inrunner with a 1600kv outrunner, added saddle pack batt trays for 2 x 2s 5200mah. Princess will share batts with MG29.
I also installed a new T120 esc and a bnew Futaba 603GF receiver. Its now ready to rock!

F1 tunnel basher - I got lazy with finding a paint theme for it. So just went with an all white color and added HK Taipan decals which I didnt use on the Taipan itself. Will just add a new paint theme soon.

20" custom boat - this is the custom boat for my 8yo son wherein we placed a plastic 'angry birds' head on top. It proved to be a stable runner that we redesigned the top hatch with a lone driver. This 20" hull uses a 36mm 1600kv outrunner and a single 4s - so it really flies! hahahaha!
I will probably add a stripe on the top and maybe a number ............. or maybe a flag at the rear? hahaha!

Geico Gasser - still doing the waiting game but got Jason's pipe and a bnew Sullivan gas tank for it. Atleast things are moving somewhat.

Well, lets not forget the 37" Cat!

Preliminary sanding has been done to the whole hull - so now the mock-up is with me so I can start designing the canopy.
I will post pics as this progress!

                          Thanks Lenny and Jerry!

We didnt go boating last week since my 8yo son had a school activity which coincided with my mother-in-law's b-day, so that Sunday was busy. Today, Im kinda excited to try the boats that I recently completed.
Only the F1 Dumas Hot Shot tunnel was a complete re-build while the others were minor repairs or mods. They did require fiberglass fabrication, so that ate time as well.
Since my worker was busy with sanding the 37" Cat, I took the opportunity in doing the above work, so when my worker gets finished and hands it over to me - I would have better focus to make/design the canopy for it.

I also wanted to rest MG since it got a scratch 2 weeks ago, but Im still on the fence to what I wanna do with it - just patch up the paint chip or a total repaint. We could never get the exact proboat mg color and naturally I wanted to use our new turbine canopy, however im also thinking of waiting for more scratches before stripping it off for new paint?
Now it seems that the 37" Cat mock-up is nearing completion - all I have to do is design a new canopy then bankroll the mold cost for it. Having a product pull will be next, then finding the hardware will take time & research. I dont wanna be bothered with what to do with the MG first, so I'll be placing it in the back burner for now.

Hey Macdon, I'm glad to here the pipe got to you. Your boats look great! You have been very busy. I ran a couple boats today and have some great vids. I won't be able to post them till Monday. My MG spun out and went airborn at 55+ for about 20-30 feet then landed backwards and the sponsons! The genesis was very fast as well. Both boats never got over 80 degrees on esc, batts, motors! Tons of fun. Now it's time to strip the MG and ship it out to Shawn for paint and strengthening!!!!! Its going to look killer with the NEW turbine canopy from Macdon and paint from Shawn.....

cant you just use alittle fine compound and work it out,,if its ontop off the paint you should be able to just compound it and it wouldnt be noticable..
